Tollywood actress Charmme Kaur has joined the league of top actors who are being investigated in the drug racket case. The actress recently approached the Hyderabad High Court and in her petition, Charmme has requested that only women officials should question her and that the questioning should be done in presence of her lawyers. She has also asked the officials not to ask questions related to her personal life.
Charmme, who is being investigated by the Special Investigation Team said that her name being linked to this case is severely damaging her career and personal life, given the fact that she is a young and unmarried woman.
“If the same happens, I, being an unmarried lady, will have to face serious consequences in the eyes of society spoiling my career and future,” Charmme was quoted saying.
She also requested the High Court that her blood, nail and hair samples should not be taken during the questioning without her permission.
Charmme Kaur is among several actors and other members of the Telugu film fraternity, called Tollywood, whose numbers were allegedly found on the contact list on a mobile phone seized from Calvin Mascarenhas, who the police say is the kingpin of the drug racket they busted.
