Salman Khan’s gf Iulia steals the limelight while attend Ganesh staphana ceremony at Arpita Khan’s house

The 10 days of festivities have kickstarted with Ganesh Chaturthi. Almost the entire nation, especially Mumbai is in a celebratory mode as people have welcomed Lord Ganesha to host them for the next few days. Like every year, several B-town celebrities have also brought their deity idols home to seek blessings from Bappa for the good and well-being of themselves and their family.

 Out of the entire industry, Salman Khan’s Ganapati celebrations are one of the most awaited ones not only for the actor and his family but also his contemporaries and media as it is nothing less than a gala time for everyone. But this year, Salman chose to not celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi at his Galaxy apartment but at his sister Arpita Khan Sharma’s house.

But of course, emotions are the same. It was a star studded night at their house as almost everyone from the industry dropped in to seek blessings of Bappa.

 Salman Khan, who recently returned from his “Tiger Zinda Hai” shoot, was one of the first visitors.

For the first time in 14 years, Salman Khan’s family is celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi at Arpita Khan and Aayush Sharma’s new house instead of Galaxy apartments.

Along with Salman, his close friend and rumoured girlfriend Iulia Vantur also made her presence felt at the celebration. Salman and Iulia did not get clicked together but it seems the two walked into the event within the gap of five minutes.

Ganesh Chathurthi has always been a special festival for the Khans and Arpita is made sure that the change in destination doesn’t affect the celebrations. “When I’d decided to start keeping Ganpati, we didn’t know how long we would do so. It all just happened. Now after 14 years of celebrating it, it’s become a family function. We all look forward to celebrating it. I feel truly blessed to have Ganpati Bappa grace our new home with his presence first and then we will be moving in. Galaxy will always be blessed by Ganpati and the visarjan will be at Galaxy garden. Although the celebrations are shifting to their new abode, everything else remains unchanged. It is still the family’s Ganpati. It’s still very much the entire family’s festival. Everyone’s going to be here. It’s just that it’s at a new destination. Salman bhai will also be coming for a day to be there with us,” said Arpita.
