Amid the various rumoured love stories we keep hearing every now and then, here is one couple who have reportedly been together for a year and continues to grow strong. Yes, we are talking about Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha. The couple are rumoured to be dating for over a year and now the duo made quite a statement at the world premiere of Ali’s film, “Victoria and Abdul” at Venice Film Festival.
Richa wrapped up her shoot and work commitments and flew down to Venice to be by Ali’s side on his big day of the premiere. She even shared a picture from the screening and wrote, “Couldn’t be more proud !!! @alifazal9 ! You held your own. Magnificent in the film and in a magnificent film !”
Ali and Richa have known each other for over four years but have been dating officially for the past period of a little over a year now. They walked down the red carpet together at the official media event.
Richa had then said that they never felt the need to make their relationship public as they are just two humble actors and not the Obamas. But now that Ali Fazal has shared a selfie with his love Richa and wrote, “One of my favourite pictures. Hai Toh Hai,” all his fans must be celebrating this announcement.
Richa, on the other hand, shared the pic with just a smile, as if she were blushing at the post Ali shared.
In an exclusive interview with HT, Ali had said, “ It’s our friendship, which grew over time. It’s so easy for everyone to fit us in a genre and label it love. Love is when we last, so the hope is that we arrive somewhere close to that.”
When Richa was popped the question by Indian Express, and asked why they had kept their relationship under wraps for so long the actress almost instantly replied that they were not the Obamas to make their bond official. “People are writing shit on my social media accounts like love jihad and all that non-sense, so I find it really humorous. We are not Barack Obama (former US President) or Michelle Obama to make our relationship public. We are just two humble actors. So, I don’t think anyone cares about it. But the fact that I took a trip to Venice to be with him… I think that says something,” she said.
The two actors worked together in the 2013 film “Fukrey” and will soon be seen together on the silver screen in ‘Fukrey Returns‘ which is slated to release on December 8, 2017.
