After Karni Sena President Mahakaal Makrana warned Deepika Padukone with the threat of maiming her, another fringe group, Sarv Brahmin Mahasabha, wrote a letter to censor board signing it with blood to ban the movie.
A large number of me mbers of the Mahasabha gathered outside Raj Mandir cinema hall in the city and started blood written signature campaign against the film. The members of the group claimed to have taken 1000 blood signatures.

The film has been stuck into various controversies since it gets announced.
During the shooting of the film earlier this year, a few members of the Shri Rajput Karni Sena had physically assaulted Bhansali in Jaipur. The party members also set fire to the film’s set in Maharashtra.
Various organisations, political parties and individuals have stood up for the Rajput community and have opposed the release of Padmavati over apprehensions that it distorts history in telling the tale of Rajput queen Padmavati.
Not only this, recently One of the Rajput Karni Sena activists has announced that Rs 5 crore to the person who beheads Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor, Padmavati is slated for a December 1, 2017 release.
