Nargis Fakhri, who wasn’t seen in movies after “Banjo”, is now finally back, and her fans can’t keep calm! The news was shared by trade analyst Taran Adarsh who took to Twitter and wrote, “Nargis Fakhri to star as an Afghan girl who runs an NGO in Sanjay Dutt starter #Torbaaz… Directed by Girish Malik and produced by Rahul Mittra… Presented by Raju Chadha of Wave Group.”
“I am keen to be a part of films that are highly content driven. I want to create a memorable slate of films for my fans,” Sanjay Dutt earlier said in a statement.
The film’s co-producer, Rahul Mittra told Mumbai Mirror, “Nargis is playing the parallel lead and has already begun taking language classes in LA for Pushto and Dari, both of which she will be using extensively.” It was one of Mittra’s proteges who had taken up Nargis’ work in India who had informed the producer that she was arriving in Mumbai for a brief period.
“We met at Girish (Malik)’s suburban home two weeks ago. Nargis was tired and jetlagged but the meeting went great and she immediately gave her nod after hearing the story. She will stun everybody with her dialogue delivery in this film,” he adds.
Mittra adds saying, “We will start in Bishkek and travel along the Silk Route through Central Asia. The film will feature different terrains and we will be shooting through the biting cold in difficult locations that have never been tapped by Bollywood before.”
