Padman is one of the most awaited movie of 2018, and there are many reasons why! The film is based on the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, who is the inventor of a low-cost sanitary pad making machine and has helped spread awareness about traditional unhygienic practices around menstruation in rural India.
The film is Twinkle Khanna’s production venture in association with Gauri Shinde. ‘Padman’ also stars Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte who play the female leads in the film. Written and directed by R Balkiof ‘Ki and Ka’ fame, ‘Padman’ definitely looks promising.
Film critic and analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and wrote, “New poster of

“If you change nothing, nothing will change. It’s not about being bold, but about breaking taboos that hold us back,” Akshay Kumar said in an earlier interview.
The Padman actor further had added, “I have lived with women all my life, yet I have learnt more about the topic while making this film than ever before. I do not mind who I offend or whose stomach I turn by being bold, this is not the Stone Age; menstruating is natural.”
On working with Twinkle Khanna as a producer, the Rustom actor replied, “I felt even more responsible than usual to deliver my best because she was behind this project. This is her baby, right from the concept. This is something we are doing together for the first time. I am happy that it is not a mundane film. The film addresses a topic that can truly impact a number of lives.”
