Punjabi singer-actor Gippy Grewal is a well known name in film industry. The versatile actor who is known for his many powerful performances is coming back with ‘Subedar Joginder Singh’.

Subedar Joginder Singh is a war biopic on the life and valor of 1962 Indo-China War martyr and India’s highest wartime gallantry award – Param Vir Chakra winner.

The first look  of the film has been released and by the looks of it, Gippy has nailed in it.

The actor took to Instagram to reveal the first look of the film with a heartwarming message that read, “Mai iss layak nahi, par tuhade pyar da sadka, mai apni jaan la ti iss mahaan atma ke kirdaar nu nibhaun vaaste.”

The film is going to release around the world on April 6 next year. It has been dubbed in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil languages too.

Gippy Grewal is playing the role of the martyr. To essay, the character with perfection Gippy underwent a rigorous training and gained the look of the martyr.

Joginder Singh served the country when we were struggling to gain our independence. Singh was recruited into the First Battalion of the Sikh Regiment in 1936.  He served the British Indian Army and after independence, he served the Indian Army. It was during the Indo-China battle of 1962 that Subedar Joginder Singh sacrificed his life for the nation. He died in Chinese captivity.

The film also features Guggu Gill, Kulwinder Billa, Aditi Sharma, Rajvir Jawanda, Roshan Prince, Karamjit Anmol and Sardar Sohi in prominent characters.

‘Subedar Joginder Singh’ is produced by Seven Colors Motion Pictures in association with Saga Music and Unisys Infosolutions. It is directed by Simerjit Singh and will be released in 2018.
