Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan once again proved, why he is a man with a golden heart. The actor has extended financial help to the legendary boxer, Kaur Singh, who is struggling to pay his medical bills. The former boxer, who is suffering from a cardiac problem, was reportedly finding it difficult to pay Rs 2 lakh towards his medical expense in a hospital.
SRK paid his bills through his Kolkata Knight Rider (KKR) team post which Kaur Singh was discharged from that Mohali’s private hospital.
The 52-year old actor recently said in a statement, “Sportspersons bring pride to a country and it is our duty to look after them as a society. After reading about Kaur Singh, we as a sporting unit felt the need to stand by our fellow sportsman and urge everyone else to do the same in their own way. We wish Kaur Singh a speedy recovery and a healthy life.”
The 1982 Asian Games gold medalist got emotional as he reacted to this intervention. While talking to the media, Singh said, “After receiving such huge support from all over the country, I feel as if I am reliving the glory of the past. I thank everyone who came out and extended help.”
On the work front, SRK will be next seen in Aanand L Rai’s untitled project. The film also stars Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in key roles.
