Padmavati controversy is getting murkier day by day. The period film padmavati is going through its roughest phases, and but obvious needs support from the industry. Not only the movie, but the star cast is threatened to death. Same happened with the reel life Padmavati Aka Deepika Padukone, where she was receiving death threats and offensive comments from leaders and social workers.
It is assumed that there is a dream sequence featuring a love scene between Deepika (who plays Rani Padmini of Chittor) and Ranveer (who plays Alauddin Khilji, Turkish emperor and the Sultan of Delhi in the 14th Century) has been the rallying point of all controversy around Padmavati.
Dr. BL Gupta, a history professor, who is part of the reviewing panel, stated, “I am all for artistic freedom and one’s right to express, but that must not happen at the cost of history.”
“It must be understood that as historians, we aren’t backing any political party or artistic view. We will only state historical-facts to the best of our knowledge,” he added.’I have very strong reservations about seeing the film as to my mind it will open a Pandora’s box of new and pointless discussions,” he said.
