Actor-turned-writer Twinkle Khanna’s cousin brother Karan Kapadia is all set to make his Bollywood debut with Tony D’Souza and Vishal Ranas upcoming yet-untitled film.
Karan is actress Dimple Kapadia’s late sister Simple Kapadia’s son and the youngest in Kapadia family.
He also shared how he’s prepping for the film. In an interview with news agency IANS, he said, “I’ve learnt to ride a horse and the bike. I’ve been swimming and I trained in martial arts for six months in Bangkok. “
The actor learnt the craft from Jeff Goldberg Studio. Karan also said that he earlier weighed 112 kg, but because of his regular gym workout, he is now fit and healthy with 88 kg.
It has been reported that it was Akki who apparently introduced the newbie to the director. Jointly produced by Shrikant Bhasi, Nishant Pitti, D’Souza and Rana, the film is slated to release next year.
Karan Kapadia’s mother late Simple Kapadia made her acting debut in 1977’s Anurodh, co-starring her brother-in-law, late actor Rajesh Khanna. Later, she became a costume designer and designed for actresses like Tabu, Amrita Singh, Sridevi and Priyanka Chopra. Karan’s aunt, Dimple Kapadia, is popularly known for her films like Saagar and Bobby, for which she won the Filmfare Award For Best Actress.
