Filmmaker Mukesh Bhatt says it’s frivolous to play National Anthem before Sunny Leone’s film!

Recently, Supreme Court passes the order that it is now not mandatory to play the National Anthem before a film is screened in cinema halls across the country.

Many people have welcomed this decision of the court, one of them is filmmaker Mukesh Bhatt. He said that maintaining the purity of national anthem is very important. It should be played only in school or Educational Institutions, not in Entertainment Parlors. Because it is insulted there

He said that ‘‘We respect the judgment of the Supreme Court. If you are going to watch Sunny Leone’s movie then how can the national anthem be played in the cinema hall?

“At the place of entertainment, the agreement was signed with the dignity of the National Anthem. I respect the judgment of the Supreme Court. Because this decision will give great respect to the National Anthem. ” he added.

Earlier, Supreme Court states that the National anthem must be played before every movie in theatres. But now they modified their November 2016 order stating that it is now not mandatory to play the National Anthem before a film is screened in cinema halls across the country.

The order comes after the government on Monday filed an affidavit asking the Supreme Court to reconsider its order making it mandatory for cinema halls to play the national anthem before screening of films and that it was setting up a inter-ministerial committee to look at any modifications in the existing rules — Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, if necessary.
