The Rajput Karni Sena who continued to protest against Sanjay Leela Bhasali’s Padmaavat, said that it would not allow Central Board of Film Certification Chairperson Prasoon Joshi to attend the Jaipur Literature Festival, which begins on January 25.
The community also said that it would not allow Padmaavat director Sanjay Leela Bhansali to shoot in Rajasthan in future.
“We won’t allow Prasoon Joshi to enter Rajasthan. The moment he steps into the airport, we will follow him and we will protest,” said Sukhdev Singh, a member of the Karni Sena, which has led the protests against “Padmaavat“.
Earlier, Supreme Court suspended a ban orders by four states. Rajasthan Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria, in a statement to the media, said that it would comply with the court’s decision. He was quoted as saying, “We will get the court decision studied by the law department and further steps will be taken after that.”
The members of Rajput Karni Sena and other fringe groups have been leaving no stone unturned in protesting against the release of Bhansali’s magnum opus.
The film faces several threats from Rajput Sena. The film was accused to have offensive content against Rajput community.
