Recently, we told you that a complaint has been filed against bollywoof famous singer Papon for allegedly forcefully kissing a minor on a reality show – Voice India Kids.
Papon is currently one of the judges on Voice India Kids. On Tuesday, he went live on his Facebook page. In the video, he is seen applying gulal to one of the female contestants and then he kisses her, allegedly by force.
A Supreme Court lawyer has filed a complaint against Assamese singer with the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights for an ‘inappropriate’ act of showing affection to a minor girl.
Papon refuted the rumours and said that he kissed a minor contestant of a reality show out of affection and it was not a sexual assault.
[ecp code=”4″]Well, now a girl whom Papon kissed during Holi celebration now opens up on the incident.
She defends the singer and said, “During the Holi episode, all parents and us, kids, had gone up to Papon sir…we were playing and having some fun when we went live on Facebook. So everyone saw he didn’t do anything to me… he kissed me like he would kiss his own child. My mother and my father also kiss me lovingly so there is nothing wrong about it. Papon sir didn’t do anything with the wrong intention.”
Meanwhile, the girl’s parents have refused to lodge a complaint against Papon, and instead issued a statement that said the singer is “a mentor and a father figure to my daughter, and has always encouraged her to pursue her dreams… What you saw in the video is not intentional. It was just a moment of affection that is being portrayed otherwise”.
