Kajol is a senior on-screen character in B-town. This perfect diva is active in Bollywood for over two decades. She is the daughter of actress Tanuja and late filmmaker Shomu Mukherjee, and the elder sister of actress Tanishaa Mukherjee. She is one of the successful actress in a bollywood.
She has graced the big screen right from when she was 18 years old. And one of the highlights of her unconventional beauty has been her dusky complexion, which was far more pronounced when she was younger. But as the years have progressed, it is obvious that she has become progressively fairer.
When one looks back at the early films of Kajol, and if you happened to unexpectedly switch to a scene from ‘Diwale’, you may just be shocked at the vast difference in skin tone.
No one can deny the fact that Kajol is an outstanding actress but she was not that glamorous in her starting days. Be it her eyebrows, her hairstyle, her dressing sense, Kajol has worked a lot on herself to be a stunner.
Kajol has reportedly undergone skin melanin surgery. It is a surgery involving the lightening of the skin by lessening the concentration of melanin through the usage of chemical substances.
But in an interview, the actress denies the reports and said that she underwent a ‘stay at home surgery’. Talking to a tabloid, the actress laughingly explained that since she she has been at home for a long time now she got ‘untanned’. “For 10 years of my life, I was working all the time under the sun, which is why I got tanned! And now I am not working in the sun anymore. So I’ve got untanned! Its not a skin whitening surgery, it’s a stay at home surgery.” She told the tabloid.
Well let’s be fair and not deny the fact that whatever the cause may be, Kajol still looks radiant as ever.
