Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma turns 30 today. The actress has established a career in Hindi films, and is one of the most popular and highest-paid actresses in India.
Well, today on the occasion of her birthday, we are going to tell you about some unknown facts about her life which you didn’t know.
Anushka Sharma was born on 1 May 1988 in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. Her father, Colonel Ajay Kumar Sharma, is an army officer, and her mother, Ashima Sharma, is a homemaker. Her elder brother Karnesh was a state level cricket player and played for the under-19 Karnataka Ranji cricket team. He was formerly serving in the Merchant Navy.
Sharma was raised in Bangalore. She was educated at the Army School there, and received a degree in arts from Mount Carmel College. She originally intended to pursue a career in modelling or journalism, and had no aspirations to be an actress. After graduation, Sharma moved to Mumbai to further her modelling career.
Sharma made her acting debut in Aditya Chopra’s romantic drama Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008), opposite Shah Rukh Khan. The movie turned out to be a massive hit among audiences and Anushka was well appreciated by everyone, however little known to people that she had her own set of struggles to achieve this feat. According to reports, she took a day to prepare for her screen test for YRF’s Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and refused to do an impromptu one. She was even told by Aditya Chopra that she was not the best-looking girl around but that she was talented.
Anushka was bullied over her lip surgery. From media to different social networking sites, everywhere she was the talk of the town. Later, the actress justified that it was a temporary thing done for her upcoming film, ‘Bombat Velvet’.
When Anushka Sharma was seeking a glamorous career, the actress was dating Zoheb Yusuf, a model from Bangalore. Apparently, Yusuf came with his ladylove to Mumbai for a career in Bollywood. But the duo broke up after a while.

Anushka Sharma was involved in a romantic relationship with Ranveer Singh. The actors have worked together in several films and their film Band Baaja Baaraat was a big hit among the masses. Anushka describes the success of their film as special and says that her relationship with Ranveer is something unique that she will always treasure.
Now, the girl is married to Indian skipper Viray Kohli. The duo exchanged their marriage vows on December 11 in a gorgeous villa ‘Borgo Finocchieto’ in Tuscany, Milan. The nuptial took place in the presence of close family and friends amidst tight security.
Anushka also supports various charities and causes, including gender equality and animal rights, and is the co-founder of the production company Clean Slate Films.
With her last successful film NH10, Anushka donned the hat of producer. She also produce films like Phillauri and Pari under the banner.
On the professional front, Anushka has three films coming up Ranbir Kapoor starrer Sanju, Sui Dhaaga with Varun Dhawan and Zero co-starring Shah Rukh Khan.
