Armaan Kohli’s girlfriend Neeru Randhawa withdraws assault case against the actor!

Ex-Bigg Boss contestant Armaan Kohli who has recently been in the news as the actor has been booked for physically assaulting his girlfriend and live-in partner Neeru Randhawa, a fashion stylist has been finally arrested by police.

And now, the actor has been sent to judicial custody till June 26 by Bandra Court. The court has also rejected his bail plea application.

Armaan Kohli was arrested from a farmhouse in Lonavala on Tuesday. He had been allegedly absconding ever since his girlfriend Neeru Randhawa filed a physical assault complaint against him on June 3.

Well, now if latest reports are to be believed, Neeru withdraw her case against the ex-bigg boss contestant. The actor was produced in the Bandra court and his lawyer Lakshmi Raman told the magistrate Pragati Yerlekar that the case has been settled between Armaan and his girlfriend Neeru Randhawa and that “no purpose will be served with his custody.” Randhawa was also present in the court during the hearing.

The magistrate, however, rejected Armaan’s bail application and Armaan was taken away to judicial custody. Armaan’s lawyers are now planning to move the bail application before Mumbai’s session court to get him out of the jail as soon as possible.

Legally, an FIR cannot be withdrawn without a court’s sanction. So, in this case, even though Randhawa has withdrawn her complaint against Kohli, the case will have to proceed through the court.

In an interview with Spotboye, Neeru revealed the reason behind taking back the case. She said “he is capable of harassing people, and so I dread that side of his.” The fashion stylist said there was another reason why she did not wish to go ahead with the case.

“See I have a British passport. It is possible that I go to the UK and not settle in India. If I persist with the case, I may be asked to come to Mumbai many times. Will that jhanjhat be worth for a man like Armaan? It just might be a sensible decision to forget his existence in my life as a bad dream. May not be easy to put the trauma and physical assault behind me completely, but at least I will try. I am a positive person in life,so why not give it a shot?” she said.

For those, who don’t know, the 46-year-old has been accused by his live-in partner, a model, of beating her up after an argument broke out between the two.

Neeru has suffered head injuries and has been hospitalised in Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital. A case has been registered under sections 323, 326, 504 and 506 and the police is on a look out for Mr Kohli for further investigation.

Neeru alleged that they were discussing about money, when Armaan lost his temper and started hitting her. After a case was registered with the police, a team was formed to investigate into the matter and the women’s statement was recorded.

Neeru and Armaan have been in a relationship since 2015. They have met through a common friend and soon start dating.
