1.Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya
It was not exactly love at first sight for the two actors. They both play crucial characters in Star Plus’s popular serial, “Yeh Hai Mohabbatein”. The couple were introduced by a common friend who is also a fellow actor. Divyanka, who was nursing her broken heart post her decade-long relationship with Maharana Pratap star, Ssharad Malhotra, found a friend in Vivek. Then they started looking at each other from a life partner’s perspective. Divyanka and Vivek look like a pair made in heaven as the couple didn’t have a courtship period. The couple got married last year and enjoying their life together now.
2. Ravish Desai and Mugdha Chaphekar
TV actors Mugdha Chapekar and Ravish Desai who were last seen in serial “Satrangi Sasural” got married (14 December 2016) in a private ceremony. The couple fell in love while shooting for ‘Satrangi Sasural’ as the lead couple. The two got engaged at a private ceremony in front of family and a few close friends on January 30.
3. Dheerja Dhoopar and Vinny Arora
Sasural Simar Ka’s Prem Dheeraj Dhoopar and Udaan’s Tina Vinny Arora got married in a lavish wedding ceremony in Delhi on November 16. Dheeraj and Vinny first met on the sets of Zee TV’s ‘Maat Pitaah Ke Charnon Mein Swarg’ and started dating. The couple has been dating for over 6 years now.
4. Aman Verma and Vandana Lalwani
Bigg Boss ex-contestant and actor Aman Verma finally tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend Vandana Lalwani on 14 December 2016. Aman’s wife Vandana played the role of his sister in television show ‘Shapath’ and it was only on the show’s sets that the actors fell in love with each other.
5. Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta
Ravi and Sargun played on-screen husband and wife in a serial, 12/24 Karol Bagh, on Zee TV. The couple hit it off immediately and before they even knew it, they were dating. On the sets of Nach Baliye 5, Ravi went down on one knee and proposed to her with a solitaire, in presence of all their friends and family. On December 6, they had the engagement and cocktail and finally tied the knot on December 7, 2013.
6. Gurmeet Choudhary and Debina Bonnerjee
The small screen ‘Ram-Sita’ Jodi, met before ‘Ramayan’ when they had come to Mumbai to audition for a talent show. Debina never thought she would end up dating him. After hours of speaking on the phone, exchanging texts, the couple realized they in love. They both were a couple throughout ‘Ramayan’ but no one knew of it. Gurmeet and Debina got secretly married in 2006, even hid the news from their families, but announced their marriage on Nach Baliye in 2011.
7. Raqesh Vashisth and Riddhi Dogra
Raqesh Vashisth and Riddhi Dogra first came together on-screen for YRF’s new show on Sony, Seven. They were barely on talking terms, but it was their serial Maryada: Lekin Kab Tak? that brought them closer and soon their fans started shipping them together. It was on May 29, 2011 that the couple decided to tie the knot. It was a well thought out decision, and a fast one too, as they decided to get married straight away without any engagement ceremony.
8. Sanaya Irani and Mohit Sehgal
Sanaya Irani and Mohit Sehgal, more popularly known as Monaya by their fans, tied the knot in a grand ceremony at Planet Hollywood Hotel, Goa on January 25, 2016. Sanaya and Mohit met on the sets of their show “Miley Jab Hum Tum” where they played the romantic leads opposite each other. It was here where they fell in love with each other. However, they kept their relationship a secret, and announced it to the world only after the show completed. They dated for seven years, and it has now, culminated into a beautiful wedding.
9. Indraneil Sengupta and Barkha Bisht
Barkha and Indraneil met on the sets of ‘Pyaar ke do Naam –Ek Raadha Ek Shyaam’. It did not take long for their on-screen love as Radha and Shyam to show off-screen as well. After their show got over, they started missing each other and realized that what they shared was something more than friendship. They started dating after the show got over at the end of 2006 and got married in 2008. The couple are blessed with a lovely daughter.
10. Hiten Tejwani and Gauri Pradhan
Perhaps one of those first couples from daily soaps who fell in love and got married. Hiten and Gauri met on the on the sets of Ekta’s hit show, “Kutumb” and were cast opposite each other. And, this is the place where sparks flew between them! These self-made people are a self-made couple as well. They did not need anyone to be their cupid. They took their time, getting to know each other and then committed. They got married some time later, and are now proud parents to twins, Nevaan and Katya.

11. Ram Kapoor and Gautami Gadgil
Ram and Gautami are one of the most loved and adored couples of the Indian television. They played the roles of devar–bhabhi in Ekta Kapoor’s hit show, “Ghar Ek Mandir”. The chemistry that the two shared on-screen captured the hearts of audiences and they longed to see this pair together in real life too. The couple, however, tied the knot in 2003, on February 14, on the Valentine’s Day. They are blessed with two kids- a daughter, Sia, and a son, Aks.
12. Manav Gohil and Shweta Kawatra
The second jodi that came out of “Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii” was that of Shweta Kawatra and Manav Gohil. Playing the roles of Pallavi and Vikram respectively, they started out as close friends. After a while, Manav developed liking towards Shweta. She started feeling a tad awkward, as she did not want to trouble their friendship, so they politely parted.

This cute couple started dating each other after they met on the sets of ‘Sanjivani’. The two played best friends in the serial. They started spending a lot of time on the sets and used to go out for movies. Soon enough they realized that they were compatible and had the same likes and dislikes. Gurdeep and Arjun got married in 2006.
14. Yash Tonk and Gauri Yadav
This devar–bhabhi jodi on the sets of “Kahiin Kisii Roz” met on the shoot and became fast friends. Little did they know that this friendship will turn into something more. After a month of knowing each other Yash proposed Gauri and she said yes. Today, they are the proud parents of 11-year-old, Pari and are expecting their second baby by January 2017 next year after a span of 13 years.
15. Mouli Ganguly and Mazher Sayyed
Incidentally, this pair too met on the sets of Ekta’s hit show, “Kahiin Kisii Roz” and played the role of devar-bhabhi on screen. Cross-connections anyone? While Mouli and Yash played the role of husband-wife, Gauri and Mazhar were paired opposite each other. But, love surely can happen anywhere. After a courtship of seven years, they got married in a simple way in 2010. It was a registered marriage. The couple also took part in dance reality show Nach Baliye (2009).

Sai and Shakti met while shooting for ‘Saara Aakash’ and became really good friends. Sai was already engaged while being friends with Shakti but ended up falling in love with him. Sanjeev Seth and Lata Sabharwal portray the happily married couple on their show, “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai”. And, they are a couple in real-life too. However, before marrying her, Sanjeev was married to actress Resham Tipnis. They got married to each other in 1993 and were together for 11 years before deciding to call it quits. Later, Sanjeev and Lata got married in 2010, and are living together happily.

20. Sharad Kelkar and Keerti Gaekwad
You might remember Sharad Kelkar and Keerti from Zee network’s telly serial Saat Phere, but this might come as a surprise that it wasn’t their first show together. It was Doordarshan’s Aakrosh, where this future couple had their first rendezvous. But it was their second encounter on the sets of CID Special Bureau, where these two actually bonded. Soon they started shopping together and going on dates, but it was Sharad’s steady support during Keerti’s tough times that brought them closer.
Sharad, the Gwalior boy finally took the wedding vows with Keerti, the Marathi Mulgi in June 2005. Sharad and Keerti welcomed their little baby girl, Kesha on February 7, 2014.
