Income Tax officials raided the houses and offices of popular Kannada stars Puneeth Rajkumar and Shiva Rajkumar, Kichcha Sudeep and Yash, among others on Thursday in Bengaluru.
According to reports, the IT official reached their residence and office early in the morning. While the reason behind the raid is not known but currently, the interrogation is on at Shivrajkumar’s residence in Manyata Tech Park.

Around 25 sandalwood stars have reportedly been targeted in today’s raid. The black money in the Kannada industry is said to be one of the reasons why the raid has been conducted.
According to initial reports, there were allegations that producers were making huge investments in films to legitimise their black money, earning large profits in the process, which too went unreported and undocumented
Yash starrer KGF became the biggest Kannada grosser of all-time. Reports suggest that the film has minted Rs 150 crore worldwide, within two weeks since its release.
