Kareena Kapoor to contest Lok Sabha elections for Congress from Bhopal?

Congress leaders in Madhya Pradesh have put forward a demand that actress Kareena Kapoor should be given a chance to contest Lok Sabha elections from Bhopal on party ticket.

Congress leaders Guddu Chauhan and Anees Khan argues that Kareena has huge fan following and it will work in the favour of the party. The young voters will vote for her.

It is said that since Kareena’s husband Saif Ali Khan hails from Bhopal and the actress often visits the city, they want her to contest the elections from there.

Kareena Kapoor to contest Lok Sabha elections

Reports even suggest that corporator Guddu Chauhan is seeking an appointment with Chief Minister Kamal Nath to convince him to give Kareena Kapoor party ticket to stand in the elections.

Earlier, her father-in-law Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi had also contested elections from Bhopal in 1991 but had lost.
