Filmmaker Karan Johar’s mother Hiroo Johar has recently turned 76 years on March 18. To make his mother’s birthday special, Karan hosted a grand bash at a popular restaurant in Mumbai.
The party was attended by Jaya Bachchan, Sharmila Tagore, Salma Khan, Reema Kapoor and others. Pictures and videos from the celebrations are doing the rounds of social media. In the pictures, we see Karan and his mother cutting her birthday cake amidst industry friends.
Karan Johar took to Instagram to share a picture from her mom’s birthday celebration. The caption of the post read, ‘’ Happy birthday to the big love of my life!!!! Happy birthday mama!!!! ❤️❤️❤️ love you so much!!!!.’’

Karan Johar celebrates mom Hiroo’s 76th birthday
In one of the videos, we can see Hiroo Johar getting emotional and delivering a speech, thanking her friends for making it to the party. KJo being KJo said, ‘’Let’s do it every alternate year, let’s make it a habit’’ to which a lady present at the bash saidu, ‘’Hiroo, Twice a year is better.’’
Salman Khan’s mother Salma also attended the party and looked lovely in a pastel green sharara.

Veteran actor Jeetendra’s wife and TV producer Shobha Kapoor also joined the celebrations.

Hiroo Johar is the wife of late Bollywood filmmaker Yash Johar, who founded Dharma Productions, currently headed by Karan Johar. Karan’s twins – Roohi and Yash – were born via surrogacy in February 2017. Karan Johar named Yash after his father while Roohi’s name is a rearrangement of the filmmaker’s mother’s name.
