South Superstar Mahesh Babu’s wax statue has been unveiled on Monday. The actor unveiled his statue at AMB Cinemas in Hyderabad.
AMB Cinemas, a seven-screen superplex, is a joint venture between Mahesh Babu and film distribution company Asian Group.
It is the only statue of Madame Tussauds which has ever been brought to India. According to reports, the statue will later be flown to Singapore to be installed at Madame Tussauds museum.
Mahesh Babu’s wax statue unveiled
Mahesh along with his wife Namrata Shirodkar and their two kids, elder son Gautam Krishna Gattamaneni and daughter Sirata, was present at the unveiling of his statue.
Mahesh Babu posed with the wax figure for shutterbugs, before indulging fans for selfies.
Mahesh will be joining a list of several top Bollywood stars who have been featured at Madame Tussauds. Among the celebrities who are featured are Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwariya Rai Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, and Madhuri Dixit. This is the second time that a star working in the south Indian industries has got a wax statue after Prabhas.

On the work front, Mahesh Babu is currently busy wrapping up the shoot of his next film Maharishiafter which he will be starring in an Anil Ravipudi venture.
