What I’ve learnt is to never let it hold me back. I‘d rather dress up and show up! That’s how I would describe my shoot for the @bazaarindia cover.”
The offical page of Harper Bazaar magazine has shared a picture of Sonali from the shoot and captioned it as, “When I shaved my hair, my friends asked me to keep it, maybe make my own wig out of it, but I wanted the old hair to go, it was not mine. I wanted to let go. I think I hid a lot under my long hair”.

They posted one more pic and captioned it as, “I had started listening to my body a lot more attentively now. And it is a new normal, a new journey. During her interview with the magazine, Sonali opened up about her battle with cancer and why she made her diagnosis public. She said, “I did not want speculation and pity. I framed it, made sure my family, including my 12-year-old son, read every word. I had not planned to continue posting about it, but the responses were overwhelming.”
Further, the actress also shared that despite the shocking news, she never thought of death. “But the thought of death didn’t come to me. I thought this was going to be a long struggle, but I never thought I’d die,” said Sonali.
