Here’s how Aishwarya Rai reacts on Vivek Oberoi’s meme on her

Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi has come under scanner over his controversial meme on Aishwarya Rai. The actor had shared a meme on Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s personal life. The actor compared her relationships to election results.

The meme carried pictures of Aishwarya with her exes Salman Khan and Vivek along with her husband Abhishek Bachchan in a collage to explain what ‘Opinion Poll’, ‘Exit Poll’ and ‘Result’ meant.

The actor was heavily criticized for doing this and was also served notice by the Maharashtra women’s commission. Later, Vivek apologized and deletes the meme.

When the whole fiasco was on, Aishwarya was at the Cannes Films Festival. And when she came to know about all this, she was left baffled.

However, Abhishek got furious when he came to know about this. According to TOI, Abhishek Bachchan lost it completely after learning about Vivek Oberoi’s obnoxious tweet and when he reached out to Aishwarya Rai on call, the latter calmed him down and asked him to give it a royal ignore.

However, the actress understood Vivek’s ploy to gain publicity for his upcoming film, the Narendra Modi biopic. Aishwarya Rai was quick enough to calm down her husband and give him the undue publicity.

Earlier, when asked about the controversy over the tweet, Oberoi told reporters, “I have no problem in apologising, but tell me what wrong have I done? If I have done something wrong I will apologise, I don’t think I have done anything wrong.”

But later he deleted the tweets from his account and even tweeted, “Even if one woman is offended by my reply to the meme, it calls for remedial action. Apologies tweet deleted.”

He also said, “Sometimes what appears to be funny and harmless at first glance to one, may not be so to others. I have spent the last 10 years empowering more than 2000 underprivileged girls, I cant even think of being disrespectful to any woman ever.”
