Deepika Padukone who will be next seen in Chhapaak, a story based on the life of an acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal has wrapped up the shooting schedule of the film.
Calling it the most “precious” film of her career, Deepika shared the news on her Instagram account along with a group picture from the last day of the movie’s shoot.

In the film, Deepika will be seen playing the role of Malti – an acid attack survivor in the film.
The film is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal, who was attacked at the tender age of 15, by a 32-year-old man, who had one-sided attraction towards her. She now runs an NGO that works for the acid attack survivors and is also a proud owner of a cafe which is managed by these survivors.
Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the film will release on January 10, 2020.
