Lata Mangeshkar returns home, thanks fans and doctors


Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar who was hospitalised at Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital from last 28 days has finally returns home.

The singer took to Twitter on Sunday and reveals that she has been discharged from the hospital. She further thanked her well-wishers for their prayers and blessings.

She wrote, “For the past 28 days, I was at Breach Candy hospital. I was diagnosed with pneumonia. The doctors preferred that I extend my stay in hospital and go home when completely healthy.Today, I am back home with the blessings of Mai and Baba I have my deepest gratitude to all my well wishers all over. Your prayers and good wishes have worked and I humbly bow down to each one of you.”

Lata Mangeshkar turned 90 on September 28 this year. She became a recipient of India’s highest civilian honour Bharat Ratna in 2001. She has lent her voice to over 1,000 songs in Hindi alone.
