Payal Rohatgi opens up on her terrifying experience inside jail, says I was very scared


Bollywood actress Payal Rohatgi who was arrested by Bundi Police for allegedly posting objectionable video against the Nehru-Gandhi family on social media, has been granted bail by a local court on Tuesday (December 17).

According to reports, the actress has been granted bail with two sureties of Rs 25000 each.

Now, after coming out of jail, the actress interacted with the media persons and said that she won’t stop making videos but will remain careful and try to not make a mistake again.

The actress also took to her Twitter to thank her well-wishers for their support. She wrote, “Ram Ram ji ???? सभी भारतीयों का धन्यवाद मुझे समर्थन करने का।अब मैं ओर भी ज़्यादा देश के लिए बोलूँगी क्यूँकि मुझे मेरा देश भारत मेरी जान से ज़्यादा प्यारा है। #BharatMatakiJai #PayalRohatgi,” Payal tweeted.

While talking to TOI, the actress shares her  “Thank you everybody for getting me out. I was very scared in jail, but now I am very happy. I have been politically victimised.” Recounting her stay at the Bundi jail, she further told the daily, “I spent a sleepless night and it was very cold. We slept on the floor on a mattress. It was my first experience in jail and I hope it to be the last,” she said.

Payal was stationed in the female general ward and said she had women inmates sharing their experiences with her. “I was very touched by their stories,” she added. Payal had also told ANI, “It was very cold in jail. But inmates were good. They shared their stories with me.”

“Food in jail was not very good, but it was good for those who prefer having spicy food. My intention has never to commit something wrong and I have always believed in abiding the law. This time I was a political victim and was trapped in legalities,” concluded the actress.

For unversed, the actor was booked by the Bundi Police under the IT Act for allegedly posting objectionable content against Motilal Nehru, Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi and other members of the Gandhi family on social media.
