Kushal Punjabi passes away at 37, actor commits suicide


Bollywood actor Kushal Punjabi who was last seen in Colors TV’s Ishq Mein Marjawan is no more. He was 37.

According to reports, the actor hungs himself at his house in Bandra last night. The actor was clinically depressed and had been taking anti-depressants tablets to fight the same.

Kushal’s close friend Karanvir Bohra confirmed the news ans wrote an emotional post for him. He wrote. “Ur demise has shocked the hell out of me.I’m still in denial @itsme_kushalpunjabi I know you are in a happier place, but this is unfathomable.
The way you lead your life really inspired me in more ways than one….but what was I to know. Your zest for dancing, fitness, off-road biking, fatherhood and above all that, that smiling face of yours, your happy-go-lucky nature your warmth all that was such ingenuity. I’m gonna miss you so much #kushlani
You will always be rememberd sad a guy who lived a full life.”

According to Spotboye, A note was found in his Bandra apartment in which he has not blamed anyone for taking this drastic step. Paramjit Singh Dahiya, DCP has told SpotboyE, “Yes, it is a case of suicide. His parents were trying to reach him since afternoon. But his phone was unavailable. They waited till night when there was no response, they reached Kushal’s building by 10:30 pm. The actor was alone at home and that’s why they had to break open the door. His body was found hanging from the ceiling. The body has been sent for postmortem and we have filed the case.”

Two days back, Kushal shared a cute picture with his son on his Instagram.

The actor was married to Audrey Dolhen. The couple has a son.

Kushal was a part of shows like ‘CID’, ‘Kabhi Jaan Kabhi Naa’, ‘Yeh Dil Chahe More’, ‘Kasam Se’ and ‘Ishq Mein Marjawan’ to name a few.  Apart from television, Kushal also starred in films like Kaal, Lakshya, Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal, and Salaam-e-Ishq to name a few.
