Deepika Padukone celebrates her 34th birthday with Ranveer Singh and acid attack survivors in Lucknow, see pics

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone turns 34 on January 5. The actress rings in her birthday with husband Ranveer Singh and acid attack survivors in Lucknow.

The actress cut a 4 kg cake at the ‘Sheroes’ cafe Lucknow. (an NGO that works for acid attack survivors). Deepika Padukone’s actor-hubby Ranveer Singh too, accompanied her there.

Laxmi Agarwal and her daughter Pihu too were present at the event as well.

Chhapaak is based on the real-life acid attack survivor Laxmi, who at the age of 15, was attacked allegedly by a spurned lover in 2005. Laxmi had to undergo several surgeries. Later, she took up the job of helping acid attack survivors and promoted campaigns to stop such attacks.

Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the film will release on January 10, 2020.
