Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor who is currently shooting for his upcoming film Jersey in Chandigarh has got injured on the sets. The actor has to undergo 13 stitches.
According to a sources, “Shahid was playing perfectly fine and rehearsing before the shot, when the ball unexpectedly came and hit him on the lower lip and cut open a wide gash where blood started gushing out. He was immediately taken for treatment and a doctor was rushed to see him. To close the wound, stitches were sutured by the doctor.”

According to a report in Pinkvilla, his wife Mira Rajput has left for Chandigarh to be by his side. “He is fine now. But the injury was a deep cut so he had to get 13 stitches. Mira has rushed to Chandigarh now on hearing the news. There’s nothing to worry anymore,” a report told the website.
Shahid will not be able to shoot till the swelling subsides and the wound heals enough for him to emote freely. “The next course of action will be determined only after checking how the injury is healing, after five days.”
“Jersey” is a Hindi remake of the Telugu hit of the same name. The Hindi version will be directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, who also helmed the original movie. The story is about a talented but failed cricketer named Arjun, who decides to make a comeback in his late thirties and play for India, in order to fulfil his son’s wish.
