Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone is currently seen in her recently released film Chhapaak where she is seen portraying an acid attack survivor Malti. The actress was praised for her choice of role.
However, the actress has been attacked on social media after she shot a promotional video on social media asking a TikTok influencer to recreate three of her looks, including that of Malti in Chhapaak.
Kangana Ranaut wants Deepika Padukone to apologize
In the video, Deepika is seen throwing a TikTok challenge at a user named @faby_makeupartist. “I want to challenge Faby with three of my most favourite looks,” Deepika tells the make-up artist Faby in the video. She lists her looks in three of her films — Om Shanti Om, Piku and Malti in Chhapaak. In the 39-second video, Faby goes on to rapidly create all three looks on herself, one by one to the beats of peppy music.
Well, this didn’t goes well down with the neitizens and they starts trolling the actress.
And just when we thought that @deepikapadukone couldn’t mock Lakshmi anymore through her PR stunts in JNU she comes up with tick tok challenge on acid attack victims. Gross. pic.twitter.com/077Uz7hcEg

Well now, Kangana Ranaut has asked Deepika to apologize. For the unversed, Kangana’s sister Rangoli Chandel is also an acid attack survivor herself and this has hurt the actress more.
Kangana in an interview with India Today, said, “My sister was very hurt with that video. I am sure Deepika must have an explanation for that why and how, what circumstances, because sometimes marketing teams plan things in a way and we don’t have time to go exactly into the depths of that. But people who are hurt with this, like my sister, must be apologised to and it’s not a make-up look and nobody should try and achieve it with make-up products. That kind of insensitivity should be apologised for and there is no harm in doing that.”
Not just the video, she also spoke about Deepika’s visit to JNU. “I think women should support women and I am not somebody to comment on what Deepika has done or should have done. She was exercising her democratic right, but if I were given the choice I would never stand behind the Tukde Tukde gang.”
On the work front, Kangana will be seen in Panga. The film is slated to release on January 24.
