Renowned fashion designer Wendell Rodricks passes away on Wednesday at his Goa home. He was 59.
As per reports making rounds on the internet, Rodricks passed away due to a heart attack at his Colvale residence in Goa.
The fashion designer was also an author, an activist for social causes, environment and gay rights. He was also a recipient of the fourth highest civilian award, the Padma Shri. It was in 2014 that he was awarded the Padma Shri by the government.

The popular designer not only designed clothes for many B-town personalities but even featured in films like Kaizad Gustad’s ‘Boom’ and Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Fashion’. He launched his fashion brand in 1989 and retired from his label in 2016.
The Fashion Design Council Of India mourned the death of Wendell Rodricks. Their tweet read: “FDCI is deeply disheartened with the sudden and untimely demise of one of the country’s iconic designer, Wendell Rodricks. The fashion fraternity lost a legend today. Wendell, we will miss you.”
