Bollywood’s celebrated singer Kanika Kapoor has been finally discharged from hospital after her latest test for Covid-19 came negative.
Kanika was admitted to Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences in Lucknow.

A tweet made by news agency ANI on Kanika Kapoor read, “Singer Kanika Kapoor has been discharged from Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), Lucknow after the report of her sixth test, came negative. (file pic).”

The singer had returned from the UK on March 9 and travelled to Lucknow and Kanpur from Mumbai. She also attended family gatherings and small parties with friends and relatives during the festival of Holi. However, Kanika didn’t know that she had contracted the virus until she experienced mild fever and dry cough and went to get tested.

After she tested positive, she was slammed by the media for attending parties and spreading the virus though none of those who came into contact with her tested positive. She was also criticised by the hospital administration for her ‘starry behaviour’.
She has also been booked under Sections 188, 269, and 270 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Sarojini Nagar police station in the city. The FIR was lodged based on a complaint filed by the chief medical officer (CMO) of Lucknow.
