Actor Shyam Sundar who played ‘Sugreev’ in Ramanand Sagar’s ‘Ramayana’ has passes away.
Shyam Sundar’s co-star from Arun Govil who plays the lead character of Ram in the show, confirmed the news without stating the reason behind the demise.

Arun tweeted, “Sad to know about demise of Mr. Shyam Sundar who played the role of Sugreev in Ramanand Sagar’s “Ramayan”… A very fine person and a gentleman. May his soul rest in peace.”

According to the reports, Shyam Sundar passed away after a proloned illness. Shyam Sundar’s nephew Kamal Madnani , in an interaction with a daily, said on Friday that he had been fighting cancer for a long time now.

Meanwhile, ‘Ramayana’ is being re-telecast on Television at 9 am and 9 pm on DD National.
On the career front, Shyam Sundar Kalani also played the role of ‘Bheem’ in Shyam Sundar ak’Mahabharata’. He also worked in films like ‘Heer Ranjha’, ‘Trimurti’ and ‘Chaila Babu’.
