Bollywood veteran actor Rishi Kapoor passed away today at Mumbai’s Sir H N Reliance Foundation Hospital. He was 67 years old.
Rishi’s brother Randhir Kapoor confirmed the news. “He is no more. He has passed away,” Randhir told PTI.

The actor’s death has left the entire nation in shock. Amitabh Bachchan, Manoj Bajpayee, Rajeev Khandelwal, Rakul Singh and other Bollywood celebrities mourned the actor’s death.

In 2018, Rishi Kapoor was diagnosed with cancer for the first time, following which the actor was in New York for nearly a year to undergo treatment. He returned to India in September 2019 after recovering.

In February, Kapoor was hospitalized twice due to his health issues. He was first admitted to a hospital in Delhi where he was attending a family function. At the time, Kapoor had said that he was suffering from an “infection”. After his return to Mumbai, he was again admitted to a hospital with viral fever. He was discharged soon after.
The actor is survived by his wife Neetu Kapoor, son Ranbir and daughter Riddhima.
