After Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan, now Aishwarya Rai and her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan also tests positive for COVID-19.
Earlier in the day, Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar said that the mother-daughter duo tested negative in their swab report. Fans breathed a sigh of relief after the news hit the internet. However, BMC commissioner has now said that Aishwarya and Aaradhya have tested positive for Coronavirus in their second test.
Meanwhile, it is being reported that Jaya Bachchan’s test came back negative.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aaradhya Bachchan test positive
Maharashtra Health Minister, Rajesh Tope confirmed the news on his Twitter handle. He wrote, “Smt.Aishwarya Rai Bacchan & Daughter Aaradhya Abhishek Bacchan have also been detected positive for Covid19. Smt. Jaya Bachhan ji is tested negative for covid19. We wish the Bacchan Family to get well soon with a speedy recovery(sic)”.
Meanwhile, BMC has sanitised Amitabh Bachchan‘s bungalow Jalsa and also sealed it and is declared as containment zone.

It was on Saturday night that Amitabh Bachchan tweeted on Twitter, “I have tested COVID-19 positive… shifted to hospital… hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests, results awaited…All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested.”
