Vidya Balan has kickstarted the promotions of her upcoming flick ‘Begum Jaan’. Recently, for one of the events she had visited Kolkata with the producer of the film, Mahesh Bhatt, and director Srijit Mukherji.
While coming back from the city, the trio were walking in to the airport when the man approached her and asked if he could click a selfie with her.
The actress opened up about the incident in an interview with the a leading entertainment portal. She said ‘Yes’, the man immediately put his arm around her.
She stated that the guy had put his arm around her, and she immediately told him not to do that. However, the guy did it once again, and then even her manager saw it and told him not to do it. Well, for the third time when Vidya posed with him for a picture, he did it once again, and then Vidya lost her cool and said, “What do you think you are doing? This is wrong.”
Then the fan said, “Can I have a selfie?” To which Vidya replied, “No you can’t, behave yourself!” The actress opted to walk away from there.
Vidya talked about the incident and the anger was evident in her voice, “When a stranger puts an arm around you, be it a man or a woman you get uncomfortable because they are intruding into your personal space.” she said.
“We are public figures, not public property,” Vidya added.
