Gurmeet Choudhary and Debina Bonnerjee or shall we say, Ram and Sita, of Indian television, are a happily married couple. The two came in the limelight when they played the protagonists in ‘Ramayan’.
The lovebirds who were recently is news for having adopted two girls have bounced back in headlines once again. This time it is their old wedding pictures that are fetching them all the attention.
The much-in-love couple began dating in 2006 and married in the same year. The wedding ceremony was taken in complete secrecy; even their parents did not know of it.

The pictures are very simple and have some friends posing with the couple when they were tying the knot.
Debina first saw Gurmeet at a talent hunt show in Mumbai in 2006 where the two co-participated. They were both among the top 30 contestants and became friends soon, but there was nothing more than that between the two.
Their bond got even stronger when they worked together on the serial, ‘Ramayan’.

After five years of being in a steady relationship, Gurmeet finally proposed to Debina with a big diamond ring on a reality TV show, ‘Pati, Patni Aur Woh’.
However, it was much later in 2011 that the duo tied the knot openly declaring their love for each other. Both Gurmeet and Debina had a registered marriage at their home in the presence of their families and a few close friends, followed by a reception.
TV celebrities like Drashti Dhami, Kushal Punjabi, Natasha Suri, Mink Brar, Amit Sarin, Akhilendra Mishra, Ravindra Jain, Anand and Nisha Sagar, Shakti Sagar, Saurabh Pandey, Claudia Ciesla, Sachin Shroff and Juhi Parmar, Sangeeta Kapure, Romash Mehta, Annie Gill, Abhinav Shukla, Smitha Kondkar, Hina Khan, Devyani Singh among others attended the wedding reception.
Taking about Gurmeet, wife Debina earlier said, “Gurmeet is a typical husband material. I have always admired Gurmeet as someone very sober and hardworking. He used to stay awake whole night, and then next day go for auditions. His subtleness, hard work and of course, looks are what attracted me to him.”
While Gurmeet has always maintained that Debina has always been his pillar of support and that he is happy being his wife’s slave forever.
