TV Actor Meherzan Mazda says he had to put on 16 kg to play the role of an over-sized person in the upcoming TV show “Dhhai Kilo Prem”.
‘Dhhai Kilo Prem’ is an unusual love story of two overweight people Deepika and Piyush (Anjali Anand and Meherzan Mazda) who leave behind their physical attributes to find love.
“I took up this character since it was a new concept. It is something I haven’t done before. I was strictly on a diet to gain weight. I had to put on 16 kilos in two months for this show,” Meherzan said in a statement.
Meherzan made his television debut with TV show ‘Seven’ as Mastishk on Sony TV. After that he did various TV shows like ‘Nisha Aur Uske Cousins’, ‘Khottey Sikkey’ etc. He also worked in ‘Luv Ka The End’ as one of the main protagonists, a film produced by YRF under their YFILMS banner.
Actress Kishwer Merchant will also be seen making a cameo appearance in “Dhhai Kilo Prem”.
“Dhhai Kilo Prem” will be aired on Star Plus starting from April 3.
