Hours after the incident, he took to Twitter to assure his fans that he is safe and that no one got hurt.

The 62-year-old actor wrote, “Thanks to my staff. Escaped a fire at my house. Lungs full of smoke, I climbed down from the third floor. I am safe. No one hurt. Goodnight.”

A flood of messages instantly started pouring in for Haasan on social media. However, soon Kamal Haasan calmed down his fans by posting another tweet saying, “Thanks for all the love and concern. Now off to sleep. Good night indeed:)”

The reason behind the fire at Kamal Haasan’s residence is still unknown but we are glad nobody’s suffered any major injuries.

It can be noted here that the actor is still recovering from the sad demise of his elder brother, Chandrahasan who recently passed away after suffering a massive cardiac arrest.

On the work front, his trilingual comedy Sabash Naidu has reportedly been postponed indefinitely. Speculation is rife that the actor is planning to release Vishwaroopam 2 this year. However, nothing has been officially announced.
