This popular actor didn’t get work anymore, father used to work in old age!

Do you remember Akshaye Khanna, who become popular with his film ‘Taal’ and ‘Humraaz’? Now he is not seen in films. Akshaye is the son of popular veteran actor Vinod Khanna. After a huge of gap of five years he was seen last year in the movie ‘Dishoom’.

In the film ‘Dishoom’ he had a role of Villain. After about five years, Akshaye got this movie and that also got a flop. 

Akshaye Khanna has started his film career in 1997 with ‘Himalay Putra’ film. Akshaye, who started his career with flop film, gave only 8 hits in his career. These include ‘Dil Chahta Hai’, ‘Tal’, ‘Humraj’ and ‘Hungama’. Akshay has done 37 films in his 19-year career.

After ‘Himalay Putra’ his next release was ‘Border’, earned him the Filmfare Best Debut Award and a nomination for Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1998. After that a string of unsuccessful films followed such as ‘Mohabbat’, ‘Love You Hamesha’ and ‘Dahek: A Burning Passion’.

When Akshaye did not get the movies, then his father Vinod Khanna started doing films too. In ‘Dabangg‘ and ‘Dabangg 2‘, Vinod Khanna played the role of Salman Khan’s father. Vinod had many hopes from Akshaye but he could not complete.

Akshaye Khanna’s name is included in those actors who have good villains with good heroes. Akshaye plays villain in many films and praises him more than hero. Even after being such a good actor, he stopped getting films.

Akshaye Khanna is 41 years old and has not married yet. He is not interested in getting married. He said, “I’m not getting married, I don’t plan to. I’m not cut out for it. My ‘aloneness’ is extremely valuable to me. I know I’m an oddball given that today 90 per cent of all human beings are extremely social, and I, for one, am a part of a profession which is not perceived to be for introverts, but I enjoy my personal space.”

Akshaye Khanna will soon be seen in Sridevi’s upcoming movie Mom. The motion poster has the voice over by Nawazuddin Siddiqui, where he describes the life of a mother. Moreover, joined by Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Akshaye Khanna, the film will mark the union of three power packed performers. Mom is a thriller directed by Ravi Udyavar and produced by Boney Kapoor, Sunil Manchanda & Zee Studios.
