Vinod Khanna’s wife lashes out at media after his frailing picture from hospital goes viral

Veteran actor Vinod Khanna who is remembered by everyone as a dashing star of the yore is not keeping well these days. A picture of pale and frail looking Vinod assisted by his family recently surfaced online where the star looks unrecognizable from how every remembers him.


People started posting sympathy messages for the actor and this soon gave rise to rumours of his death.

Many fans and followers on social media expressed their disappointment over the same. They were of opinion that we shouldn’t share such images and should respect the privacy of the yesteryear legend. And now his wife Kavita Khanna too has come out strongly and expresses similar sentiments.

The actor was admitted to Mumbai’s Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital last week, when he suffered severe dehydration. Rumour has it that the veteran is suffering from bladder cancer.

She requested all the media houses to not share such images. She wrote, “STOP POSTING VINOD KHANNA’S PHOTOS. Please don’t bother him. HE’S OUR HERO. LET HIM BE.”

Recently, Vinod’s son Akshaye Khanna confirmed that his father is doing better and is recovering fast. Few days back, doctors also informed that the actor’s health is fine.

After the ailing picture of the actor went viral, many Bollywood celebrities including Irrfan Khan, Asha Parekh expressed concerns over his health. The wishes started pouring in for the speedy recovery of the actor.

It was also being said that Vinod was battling cancer. However, the actor’s son Rahul informed that Vinod was suffering from acute dehydration.

Even the hospital authorities had released a statement stating that the actor’s health was stable and also requested people to give him privacy.
