TV actress Sreejita De, who is currently seen as Kavya in Star Plus show ‘Koi Laut Ke Aaya Hai’. She is playing the role of Surbhi Jyoti aka Geetanjanli’s sister.
Recently, in an interview with TOI, Sreejita made some shocking revelations about her past. She revealed why she broke up with her ex-boyfriend who was an IT engineer guy.
Sreejita said, “When I started dating him, I didn’t know that I’ll have to change myself completely to win his love. He too, felt that once I fall in love with him, I will be exactly the way he wants me to be. He had issues with my profession and even changed the way I dressed. He wanted regular updates on what I am doing on the sets and who I am spending time with. I also had to be at home most of the time because he hated going out for parties or enjoying an evening out. For me, my personal space is extremely important and I wasn’t comfortable with his behaviour.”

Actress also said that she was in a relationship with him for quite long thinking that he is educated and settled but recently she realized that she cannot let a guy dictate her life. Actress further added that they used to fight almost daily over trivial matters and she just couldn’t take it anymore.
When asked about if she has someone in life now, she replied, “I am single. I do meet guys, but haven’t really thought of anyone seriously. I am sure that God has something good in store for me. I am hoping that I find the kind of man, who exists in fairytales.”
Shreejita says that we talk about women’s empowerment, but if it comes to looking for “good person” then the girl is always expected to compromise. She also said that during that relationship I was fighting myself and repeatedly questioned myself whether I am in the right relationship. But after getting annoyed with the daily fight, I felt that it is better to separate our paths.
