Filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia announced the third film in his “Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster” franchise on Monday. After the success of first two installments, the director will be back with the third one as original stars Jimmy Shergill and Mahie Gill are all set to reprise their roles. The makers have roped in Sanjay Dutt to play the role of a gangster.
Producer Rahul Mittra and Dhulia, the creators of Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster franchise, are back with the series third installment, which will go on floors this August in Gujarat.
Part three of the franchise takes off from where part two ended and will be mounted on a bigger scale with Sanjay playing a royal too. The first schedule will be shot in Devgadh Baria, a small town in the foothills of Gujarat’s eastern border.
“The audience have been waiting to know what’s happening in the life of Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster and with Sanju (Dutt) coming on board, we are hopeful the third part is going to be a treat for the audience of our franchise,” Mittra said in a statement.
“He will look, talk and behave like a true royal. His costumes and appearance will be majestic. The world the films are set in will remain the same but Sanjay will be the central character this time. We are adding several new characters and some of them are big names,” he added.
The first part was released in 2011 with Randeep Hooda as the gangster. Later, in the 2013 movie “Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns”, Irrfan Khan played the gangster while Jimmy Shergill and Mahie Gill were the other lead actors.
