The two countries may have been embroiled in political rivalries, but when it comes to cricket, it seems there is mutual respect between the Indian and the Pakistan cricketers.
The Indian cricket team suffered a huge defeat against Pakistan in the ICC Champions Trophy final on Sunday as Pakistan got the better of their arch rivals after eight long years.
However, the rivalry was keep aside by Indian stars like MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh who posed with Pakistan batsman Azhar Ali’s children. The pictures showcased how the two teams had left all their patriotism and rivalry on the fields and sparked friendship off of it!
The photo went viral on social media as many Pakistani fans posted it. In fact, some even went to the extent of praising Dhoni for the gesture and said that such actions make him a favourite with the people of Pakistan.
While a picture of Dhoni with Pakistan skipper Sarfraz Ahmed’s son went viral before the game, some post-match images have emerged, showing how the Indian cricketers spending some time with Azhar Ali’s sons.
