Akshay Kumar Starrer ‘Padman’ Poster Is Out With A Release Date

After  “Jolly LLB 2” Akshay Kumar and wife Twinkle Khanna would be coming together for a movie titled “PadMan”. Twinkle will be producing the film and it is based on a real-life story of a social entrepreneur who invented the low-cost sanitary pad making machine.

Padman Poster

 The first look poster of Padman was released by Team Akshay on Twitter, and began trending within minutes of being unveiled. The poster depicts Akshay — dressed in a simple linen trouser and pants combination — bicycling along what seem to be the ghats of Varanasi or Haridwar, a stainless steel tiffin slung on the handlebars.

Akshay has his arms raised, as though celebrating a triumph, and above his head, the film’s title is spelled out: Padman.

The actor-turned-author Twinkle Khanna shared the poster on her Twitter account. She wrote “Pad-up and get ready for MrsFunnybones Movies and R. Balki’s Padman -April 13,2018 @akshaykumar @radhika_apte@sonamakapoor @kriarj”

The poster also reveals the release date.

The film is based on the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, who is the inventor of a low-cost sanitary pad making machine and has helped spread awareness about traditional unhygienic practices around menstruation in rural India.

There were reports that he finished the shoot of Padman in 37 days and we are sure he has given every of his last blood, sweat, and tear. The film is being directed by R. Balki and produced by his wife Twinkle Khanna. It also stars Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte in pivotal roles.

Meanwhile, Akshay is busy with promotions of “Toilet Ek Prem Katha”, which also stars Bhumi Pednekar. The movie focusses on the importance of a toilet in a household and how it affects the lives of women across the country. “Toilet Ek Prem Katha” will release on August 11.

Apart from Padman and Toilet, Akshay has many movies in his kitty. He will also be seen in Reema Kagti’s “Gold”. He will also be seen in a biopic on music maestro Gulshan Kumar which is titled as “Mogul”.
