Take a look at the list of some bollywood actors who came to TV after the flop stint in Bollywood industry.
1. Vivek Mushran
Vivek Mushran, who debuted Bollywood with the 1991 super hit film ‘Saudagar’, has turned 48. Born on 9 August 1969 in Renukoot, Uttarakhand, Vivek also woeked in film like ‘Ram Jaane’, ‘Aisi bhi kya jaldi hai’, ‘First Love Letter’, and ‘Anjaane’. But most of the movies flopped at box office. He was last seen on big screen in Vidhya Balan starrer “Begum Jaan”.
After flopped in films, Vivek turned to the TV and worked in several successful serials. Vivek worked in shows like ‘Son Pari’, ‘Kittie Party’, ‘Bhaskar Bharti’, ‘Baat Hamari Pakki Hai’, ‘Parvarrish’, ‘Nisha Aur Uske Cousins’ etc.
2. Ronit Roy
Ronit Roy is one of the renowned personality who appears in both tellywood and bollywood. Ronit started his career with Bollywood film “Jaan Tere Naam” in 1992. He worked in films like 15 August, Gaata Rahe Mera Dil, Bomb Blast, etc. But Ronit is mainly recognized for his portrayal of Rishabh Bajaj, Mihir Virani in daily soaps ‘Kasauti Zindagi Kay’ and ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ respectively.
Ronit is still working in movies. He was last seen in Tiger Shroff starrer “Munna Michael”. However, his focus on TV is equally. He was seen in Sony Tv’s show Adaalat season 2.
3. Shekhar Suman
Shekhar worked in many flopped films like ‘Utsav’, ‘Anubhav’, ‘Ranbhoomi’ , and ‘Insaaf Apne Lahoo Se’ but he got recognization with his TV show Dekh Bhai Dekh, Ek Raja Ek Rani, Andaz, Hera Pheri etc. Apart from this, he is one of the judges of ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’ along with Navjot Singh Sidhu, a former cricketer. Recently, he had made his debut in singing, with a music album named ‘Kuch Khwaab Aise’, through which he wishes to prove that he is un-doubtly a Multi-talented artist. He will be next seen in Sanjay Dutt, Aditi Rao Hydari starrer “Bhoomi”.
4. Apurva Agnihotri
Apurva Agnihotri debuted in the film ‘Pardes’, co-starring with Shahrukh Khan and directed by Subhash Ghai. The film was highly successful and garnered Agnihotri with the nomination for Best Supporting Actor in 1997’s Zee Cine Awards. But after this, many of his films like ‘Krodh’, ‘Hum Ho Gaye Aapke’, ‘Kasoor’ got flopped. After several more film roles, he was offered the lead role in Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin. His work as Armaan Suri won him the Indian Telly Awards Best Actor Award for 2005. Later he worked in shows like ‘Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh’, ‘Aasman Se Aage’ , ‘Radhaa Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi’ etc.

5. Ayub Kha
Ayub Khan is an Indian film and television actor, much known for his acting in TV serials. In relationship, Dilip Kumar’s nephew (son of brother Nasir Khan), Ayub appeared in more than 20 films like Mrityudand, Yeh Dooriyan, Apaharan, Gangaajal, Mela etc. He is mainly recognized for his role in TV show “Uttaran”. The role of Jogi Thakur played by him in this show was very popular. He is recently sen in TV show “Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki”.
6. Armaan Kohli
Son of film director Rajkumar Kohli,. Armaan was starred in several other films in the 1990s including ‘Dushman Zamana’, ‘Aulad Ke Dushman’ and ‘Qahar’. After a five-year hiatus, he returned with the multi-starrer ‘Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani’. But most of his films flopped. In September 2013, he joined the reality television series Bigg Boss 7 as a contestant.And his negative image was a great buzz. Perhaps due to the show, he got the chance to work with Salman Khan in the film ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo‘ (2015). Armaan has also appeared on TV show ‘Tumhi Pakhi’.
7. Avinash Wadhawan
Avinash Wadhawan has been a romantic hero of Bollywood in the early 1990s, though couldn’t sustain in lead roles for long. Yet he was a familiar face on big screen and has done 17 Hindi movies before moving to regional and B-grade films. Avinash has acted in films like ‘Pyaar Ho Gaya’ (1986), ‘Meera Ka Mohan’ (1991), ‘Geet’ (1992) and ‘Junoon’ (1992). Avinash later turned to the TV and worked in shows like ‘Balika Vadhu’, ‘Sapna Babul Ka…Bidaai’ , ‘Doli Armaano Ki’ , ‘Piya Albela’ etc.
