Veteran Kannad actress BV Radha passes away, donates eyes and body!

Veteran actress and producer BV Radha, who has acted in over 250 films in Kannada, Tamil and Telugu films recently passes away in Bengaluru after suffering from cardiac arrest.

She was 70 years old and was admitted to a private hospital in Bengaluru and was under medical supervision. However, she could not survive the attack.

Her body was kept at her Bengaluru residence for the public to pay last respects, said reports. Following which, her mortal remains will be donated to the medical college according to her wish. Like her husband late actor-filmmaker KSL Swamy, Radha had also told her family to donate her body to medical education and research.

Radha has spent over five decades in the film industry, where she began her career by starring opposite veteran actor Rajkumar in the 1964-film Navakoti Narayana. Over the years, Radha has grown from being a leading lady to a favourite character artiste and has acted with some off the biggest stars including MG Ramachandran, Sivaji Ganesan, NT Rama Rao, Gemini Ganesan, Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Jaishankar.
