After the murder of a seven-year-old boy at the high profile school, fear has gripped parents, including Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, who worry for their kids’ safety.

”What I’ve heard from jail; violence against women and children. I think it’s sad that these things are happening. All of us should condemn it and I feel that there has to be a change,” he said.

“These people who do it should be dealt in a very severe way. And the people who’ve suffered should get justice,” he added.

Talking about the “terrible” Ryan murder case, the 58-year-old actor said that he is “scared for his kids.” “How is it a safe place anymore?” the father of three asked before saying, “You can’t trust anybody!”

“It’s scary… I mean kids are not safe in school. What happened to the little girl in Gurgaon (a five-year-old school girl was raped at her school), it will horrify any parent. Everybody has to be very careful as far as their kids are concerned. It’s a frightening time for parents,” said Sanjay in a recent interview. “I think this is the time when we should be more careful and protective towards our kids,” added the actor who plays father to Aditi Rao Hyadri in the upcoming thriller Bhoomi.

Bhoomi is about the bonding between a parent and a child. It’s a special story and talks about everything that I believe in, from women’s empowerment to gender equality. Omung is a fantastic director and Aditi is a very good actor… The whole shooting was superb,” said the 59-year-old actor.

On the work front, the Munna Bhai MBBS star is in the national capital to promote his latest film ‘Bhoomi’ along with filmmaker Omung Kumar and co-star actress Aditi Rao Hydari. The film marks Dutt’s comeback to the silver screen after a gap of three years since his release from jail.

‘Bhoomi’ will hit the theatres on September 22.
