A large portion of the film had been shot in Agra, except for a courtroom sequence which was shot in Mumbai. The sequence entailed a six page long emotional scene with powerful dialogues. The day of the shoot, Sanjay Dutt was busy making the cast and crew laugh, which made producers Bhushan Kumar and Sandeep Singh weary of shooting this hard-hitting scene.

But for a man who has done close to 200 films it was a cakewalk. So at 7.30 pm as the cameras rolled, Sanjay Dutt stood and shot the entire scene in just one take leaving everyone spellbound!

Producer Sandeep Singh said, “we shot an emotional courtroom scene. I gave Sanjay six pages of dialogues. He took the pages and asked me for 30 minutes of time. He then asked me to put up a five-camera set-up and told me that he’d do it in one take. And he did! It was an emotional scene and everyone from the spot boy to the director was left teary-eyed. They all clapped for Sanju when the scene was over. He was great.”

“Bhoomi” is an emotional and sensitive revenge drama that explores the relationship between a father and daughter.

Helmed by Omung Kumar and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Sandeep Singh and Omung Kumar, ‘Bhoomi’ is slated to release on September 22.
