Varun Dhawan talks about his ‘Hichki’ moment which he faced in the initial days, watch video

Rani Mukerji, who is currently busy in the promotion of her upcoming film Hichki, which talks about overcoming the obstacles in one’s life has been asking prominent personalities to share their untold weaknesses with the public and explain how they transformed them into their strengths.

And now, the latest actor who opens up about his hichki moment is Varun Dhawan.

The actor recently opens up about his hichki which he faced in the initial days. While talking to Rani Mukherji, the actor said “This actually happened in the beginning of my career. I became an actor, faced the camera… all that was fine. But the minute you become an actor, you go for awards shows and performances. Pehli baar jab main stage pe aaya, I don’t know what happened. I just froze. I started talking too fast,” he shared.

He further says, “Celebrities like Rekha, Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan were in the audience. I think all these celebrities freaked me out.”

Varun Dhawan says that he took inspiration from The Rock to overcome this problem. He also mentions legendary singer Elvis Presley and how he controlled the crowd with his strings. “When I went out the next time on stage, I imagined myself as Elvis Presley, and thought I am going to win this.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Varun is all set to appear in Shoojit Sircar’s October, which will hit the theatres on April 13.

On the other hand, Hichki will mark Rani Mukherji’s return to cinema after three years. She plays the role of Naina Mathur who has a nervous system disorder, Tourette Syndrome that forces an individual to make involuntary repetitive movements or sounds.

Directed by Siddharth P Malhotra, Hichki is slated to release on March 23, 2018.
